Chris Lang is a soulful musician based in Denver, Colorado. He specializes in saxophones, harmonica, and keyboards, as well as electronic music production. He has shared the stage with artists such as Stanley Turrentine, Kirk Whalum, Maceo Parker, David Murray, the Blind Boys of Alabama, and many others. He has recorded and/or performed with award-winning artists like Hugh Ragin, Solomon Burke, The Delfonics, Rudy Royston, Rick Braun, Jeff Golub, Alex Bugnon, Peter White, Bobby Lyle, Joey Sommerville, Isaiah Katumwa, Vernon Barbary and Sam Mayfield, to name a few.
Chris’ 2005 recording, Soul Food Vol. 1, was featured on the Gospel Music Channel nationally, and subsequent recordings with Dave LeMieux and House of Soul won national awards and topped the RMR jazz music charts. He has produced horn section work for clients worldwide and recording projects for a wide variety of artists. Some examples include soundtrack work for HBO, Nickelodeon, BBC, The Food Channel, and documentary films in the US and Japan. From 2010-2013, Chris served as an endorsing artist for CE Winds, a manufacturer of high quality, hand-finished saxophones.
Chris currently serves as a traveling artist for Mercy Music, and loves to teach, perform, and give away musical instruments all over the world. Aside from touring and recording, Chris also enjoys leading worship and using music as a means of outreach in a variety of settings. When he's not on the road or in the studio, Chris likes nothing better than to spend time with with his wife Beth and kids Joshua and Sarah.
